Police chief to contain insecurity in Igembe North

The Igembe North OCPD John Kimathi has promised to work closely with security agencies and community stakeholders including the, Njuri Ncheke elders to contain the insecurity menace in the area.

He declared that his office may use all means to end the menace including cattle raids, motorbike theft among other crimes which have been on the rise to ensure peace prevailed.

“We need concerted efforts from security agencies and the community at large to ensure normalcy in the area. Our people needs secure environment where they conduct their daily activities without any fear or worry,” Kimathi said.

Kimathi assured residents in Laare but told them to actively participate and contribute towards creating a safer environment for all.

He also expressed his deep concern over rising rates of illegal drug consumption and trafficking saying the perpetrators will face the full rigor of the law.
