Makueni Sub county Deputy County Commissioner (DCC) Joel Mwangala has urged parents to take their children to school despite the harsh economic times currently in the country.
He asked the parents to use the little resources they have to negotiate with the school principals on how the remaining amount will be paid in order to ensure children continue learning.
“We understand that everyone is facing hard economic times, but let this not hinder you from taking your children to school. Talk to the principals on how you can reschedule the payment of fees to ensure the children continue learning uninterrupted,” posed Mwangala after reading the President’s speech during Madaraka day celebrations at Kee Primary on Thursday.
In another development, the administrator said that the government will hire more teachers to teach junior secondary schools to ensure smooth learning hence alleviate any teacher shortage.
On issues involving boundaries and other small issues, Mwangala urged the residents to use alternative means of solving issues before they rush to court as it will cost them heavily in the long run.
