Sankara Sellassie Launches ‘Troubled Heart’ Book

The Sankara Berhane Sellassie Foundation is set to launch a book titled ‘Troubled Heart’, an anthology of soulful poetry by the esteemed author, Sankara on Saturday October 14, 2023 at the Kenya National Library Upper Hill, Nairobi.

The launch will commence at 2pm and end at 5pm. 

The anthology of the book weaves a poetic symphony that resonates deeply with the human soul, as the author's evocative language, diverse themes, and thought provoking titles make the anthology a captivating read, inviting readers to reflect on life, love, faith, and the enigmatic beauty that surrounds people.

The poet also delves deep into the human psyche, contemplating life’s complexities, relationships, spirituality, and societal norms with a sense of vulnerability and authenticity in the expressions, inviting readers to engage with their own emotions and thoughts.

In a press statement sent to newsrooms, the Foundation announced that attendees at the event will have the chance to purchase the book at a special discounted price of Sh1000 per copy, inclusive of an autographed copy.

“Discounted prices will be available for purchases of over 5 copies,” said the statement.

The Foundation says Troubled Heart’s tone is a mosaic of emotional landscapes that aims to touch the hearts and minds of readers, leaving them with a sense of introspection, empathy, and understanding of the human condition.

Sankara Berhane Sellassie established the Sankara Berhane Sellassie Foundation to house his interests and impact humanity in the areas of renewable energy, technology and education.

The works of his poetry, their sales and royalties will go towards supporting the projects of the foundation which reflect Sankara’s passion and interest.
