Sinner Punishes Djokovic to reach Australian open finals

10-time Australian Open champion Novak Djokovic has been knocked out of the tournament after falling to defeat in four sets against Jannik Sinner in the semi finals played at Melbourne on Friday.
The world No.1, who beat Dino Prizmic, Alexei Popyrin, Tomas Martin Etcheverry, Adrian Mannarino and Taylor Fritz on his way to the semis.
Djokovic fell 6-1, 6-2, 6-7, 6-3 to Sinner on the highly contested match.
The Serbian has previously won the title in 2019,2020 and 2021 but was blocked from participating in the 2022 as he had not been vaccinated for Covid-19 and his visa canceled.
Djokovic returned to the Australian Open for 2023 winning the title against Stefanos Tsitsipas in the final.
Sinner who is eying his first trophy un the tournament overcame Alex Di Minaur and Andrey Rublev among others towards the semis.
He won the first semi final set first set 6-1 and 6-2 in the second set needing one more to reach his first Australian Open final.
Djokovic pulled one back as he won the third set 7-6, but Sinner claimed the fourth 6-3 to set up a mouth-watering final on Sunday against the winner of Medvedev or Zverev.
