Two families from the Ntulele area in Narok East sub-county are crying for justice after their kin was killed and body dumped at Kedong ranch near the Satellite area at the border of Narok and Nakuru counties by unknown people.
The two deceased women had gone missing since Saturday, but were found three days later with preliminary investigations showing that they were strangled and bodies cut into pieces before their death.
Prior to their death, the women had traveled to the Naisoya area in Narok North sub-county on Saturday carrying over Sh. 400, 000 to buy beans at a cheap price in the area.
However, in the evening hours, attempts by their relatives to communicate with them were futile as their phones had been switched off.
Mitchell Pain, 23, the first daughter of Esther Kedoki (now deceased) said her mother used to go far places to purchase grains which she could later sell at a profit.
However, this day, her mother who was in the company of her friend did not come back in the evening as usual, promoting them to report to the police station missing people.
She lamented that her father died several years ago leaving them under the care of their mother, who is now deceased.
She reiterated that the manner in which their mother was killed was so traumatizing and called on seriousness when investigating the matter.
Pastor Harrison Kedoki, the family spokesperson said he traveled to the Naivasha mortuary where he confirmed the bodies of the two deceased.
“The bodies were proof that the two women died a very painful death. One body had several wounds and was covered with blood while another woman had been strangled using her own belt,” he painfully recalled.
Benson Ntidai, the third son of Eunice Ntidai (deceased) said his effort to call his mother at 5 pm was futile as the phones were ringing with no response.
Hours later, the phones were switched off, prompting them to report the matter to the police before the bodies were discovered at Kedong Ranch near Satellite.
Ntidai said her mother was a prominent businesswoman and the sole breadwinner of the family because our father is very elderly.
“The two women have been vigorously doing the bean and maize business where they purchase the goods in bulk to sell later at a profit. They have never reported any threat or indicated any form of insecurity before,” he said.
Jane Manangoi, a close friend and business colleague of the deceased said they now fear for their security saying the two women were killed in a very mysterious way raising eyebrows about their security.
Narok East Sub County Police Commander Jared Okari said the incident was reported of the missing people and they sent a signal of a missing person which led to the recovery of the bodies.
He said the matter is being investigated by police at Naivasha sub-county, where the bodies were recovered adding that already the family members have recorded statements with the police.
