Two employees of the Wells Fargo Security company are on the run, after they allegedly disappeared with Sh94.9million, belonging to Quickmart supermarket.

Driver Anthony Ndiuki and his colleague Charles Mugetha reportedly left Nairobi's South C area on Monday morning, headed for Family Bank's Kenyatta Avenue branch with Sh94,918,750 that was collected from Quickmart supermarket's weekend sales.

They were to bank to money, but that never happened. Curiously, they allegedly left without police escort.

"The said motor vehicle was found dumped at Dafam area South C, next to the southern bypass, without the suspects and the money missing,” a police statement says.

George Jaramba, the investigations manager at Wells Fargo Kenya said the two suspects dumped the vehicle, an Isuzu Canter with registration number KBA 517 T, at Dafarm area, in Nairobi's Lang'ata sub-county before disappearing into thin air.

Police are persuing the suspects, as they appeal to members of the public to share information on whereabouts of the two.
