Deputy President William Ruto’s UDA Party has advertised over 100,000 election management jobs ahead of its party primaries set for end of this month.
In a statement released on Monday by UDA’s National Elections Board (NEB) chair Anthony Mwaura, the party announced that the positions will be spread nationwide with most vacancies being those of clerical officers.
According to Mwaura, the party is looking to hire 47 returning officers (one per county), 128 presiding officers and 100,000 polling clerks.
"A total of 47 returning officers, 128 presiding officers and 100,000 polling clerks to conduct this exercise. Hustlers are encouraged to visit the party portal at UDA.ke to apply," Mwaura said.
The entire hiring process will be overseen by the board, with Mwaura promising that the exercise will be transparent and adhere to high integrity standards.
According to Mwaura, UDA will conduct nominations for 12 gubernatorial positions, 19 senatorial tickets, 27 Woman Representative slots, 128 MP tickets and 892 ward rep positions.
