Vehicle ferrying ten bags of bhang involved in an accident

Police in Molo Sub-County have launched a manhunt for the driver of a land cruiser pick-up that was involved in an accident at Migaa area along the Nakuru-Eldoret highway while ferrying bhang stashed in ten bags.
According to Molo Sub-County Police Commander, Mwenda Muthamia, the driver of the vehicle is said to have fled immediately after the accident and they have not established whether there were other occupants in the vehicle.
Muthamia said that investigations into the matter have commenced and will not relent on the issue until the culprits are brought to book. He urged the public to assist in any information that will help in the investigations.
Yesterday, along the same highway at Jogoo area, four people among them a student succumbed to death after the bus they were travelling in lost control and fell into a ditch.
17 are said to be nursing serious injuries as 10 having minor injuries were treated and discharged at Molo Sub-County hospital.
Mwenda urged motorists to be keen with road signs and adhere to such adding that the accident scene was among the black spots along that highway.
The cruiser was towed to Molo sub-county police station as they wait for detectives to ascertain the value of the bhang after the investigation.
