In a significant stride towards enhancing the quality of life for Kuresoi South sub-county residents, over 400 households are set to benefit from having access to clean water following the completion of two 50,000 litres water tanks by the Nakuru County government.
According to the area engineer, James Tirop, this is a vital addition to the region's infrastructure as it expands its water storage capacity to an impressive 350,000 litres.
Tirop noted that the community are a happy lot with the progress as it heaved a sigh of relief for many who trek for long in search of the precious commodity.
With water scarcity remaining a challenge in most parts of the country, he urged the beneficiaries to utilise the resource well in a bid to meet their demands noting that the project will be a reliable source of water for many years.
Tirop divulged that a second phase set to benefit over 150 households will soon begin and assured the locals that the county government leadership was unwavering in its commitment to improving the lives of her constituents through such projects.
“Plans are underway to efficiently distribute this precious resource to the locals of Sinendet, Kiptaragon, Cheseon, Metkei and Olenguruone trading center”, said Engineer Tirop.
To guarantee a steady supply of water to meet the needs of the community, the completed water project includes installation of 4-inch HDPE pipes, a step that will have a profound impact on the region's water accessibility.
“The project represents a significant leap forward in improving the lives of the residents in various ways by addressing the fundamental necessity of water and paving way for a brighter and healthier life”, said Tirop.
