Women Representative Jane Njeri Maina is nursing injuries, after being attacked by people alleged to be goons.
She was attacked during a meeting in Kerugoya town.
The youthful politician was elected on president William Ruto's United Democtratic Alliance (UDA) party in August, 2022.
She was visiting Kerugoya during a meet-the-people tour, when she reportedly encountered rowdy youth.
The youth allegedly attacked the Women Representative and her team, as most of the people scampered for safety.
She was injured on the head, with photos shared online seen by Nairobi Review depecting her with a clean shaven head while on a wheelchair.
"Everything was going on smoothly until when a group of youths on motorbikes came and attacked us. They also injured the people who were listening to us," stated the Women Representative.
It is not clear whether the youth were mobilised and paid to disrupt her meeting.
It is also unclear who may have sponsored the rowdy youth.
Kenyans on social media called on police to ensure those behind the attack on Maina and her team, are arrested and charged.
"Central Kenya leaders like to castigate Raila for undermining development through politics yet elections are long gone but here is Kirinyaga women rep claiming that she was attacked in her county in an act of violence sponsored by politicians from the very county," wrote Andrew Chamtany.
"This is not right at all. The people who attacked and injured Kirinyaga Women Rep should be arrested as soon as possible," said Omar Seif.
Police are expected to launch investigations into the issue.
