The Young Nyanza Professionals have called upon the people of the Nyanza region to embrace the exclusive sneak peek into President William Ruto's visit to the area scheduled for this weekend.
The president is set to traverse the counties of Homa Bay, Migori, Siaya, and Kisumu, where he will be launching and commissioning several projects.
Billian Okoth who is part of a young professional from Siaya and a once aspirant for the Mathare constituency seat in the 2022 general elections appreciated the intention of the president to visit the Luo Nyanza Region to launch and commission several projects which he believes will impact the lives of young people.
Echoing his sentiments, Billy Mijungu, also a young professional from Migori, insisted that no region should be left behind when it comes to development.
He encouraged leaders from the opposition to join the President on this tour in order to discuss the development priorities of the region.
Mijungu further emphasized the need for the Nyanza people to engage the President and tell him about their issues.
Meanwhile, Swaleh Mohamed from Homabay Kasipul mentioned that any attempt to disrupt the presidential visit is highly condemned as he cautioned residents never to allow themselves to be misused.
Another young professional David Oyola invited everyone to come and witness the opportunities that lie in the region to allow for investments.
“We love hard work and appreciate everybody who partners with us. We also invite all the investors from all sectors to a reconnaissance and look at the potential of the region,” he said.
