11KDF officers hospitalized after road accident

About eleven Kenya Defense Forces officers are recuperating in Tenwek hospital after they were involved in a road accident in Bomet town Saturday.

The driver of the lorry they were travelling in lost control of the vehicle as he attempted to avoid hitting a pedestrian near Nyongores bridge.

The lorry is said to have landed in a ditch injuring the soldiers who were attended to by their own paramedics before they were rushed to Tenwek for further treatment.

Confirming the accident, Bomet Central Police commander Musa Omar Imamai said the KDF lorry has been towed to Bomet police station for inspection.
