Renagade Air management on Monday evening responded to claims of a crash involving one of the company's planes at Kabunde Airstrip, in Homabay County.
Images circulated online showed an alleged crash, reportedly involving a Renagade Air plane.
In a statement, the Airline's management said none of its planes had been involved in an accident anywhere, leave alone in Homabay.
"Images circulating are of an incident involving ATR72-600 in Trinidad and Tobago and is no way associated with Renagade Air," reads the statement.
"We would like to assure our customers that Renagade Air remains committed to your safety in all our operations. Kabunde Airstrip is safe and secure."
Responding to the allegations of a plane crash, Homabay Governor Gladys Wanga urged Kenyans to ignore rumours.
"Take note of the correct position. Ignore rumours and propaganda," she said.
Renagade Air launched the Wilson Airport - Kabunde Airstrip route on 12th June, 2023, in a function graced by roads and transport Cabinet Secretary (CS) Onesmus Kipchumba Murkomen.
The Airline operates three weekly flights on the route, that is Monday, Friday and Sunday.
Initially, flights were scheduled for Monday, Wednesday and Friday before the current schedule was adopted.
Tickets are sold from Sh7, 600.
