Bhang worth Ksh8.9 million seized in Siaya

Police in Siaya County have intercepted over 298 Kilograms of bhang estimated to work around Ksh.8.9 million along the Siaya-Nyadorera Road.

In a heightened car chase operation, the main suspect was also arrested as he tried to get away with the Narcotics. 

Justis Onyango Malaki tried to drive off from the police which compelled the officers to fire at his vehicle's tyres to immobilise it.

Malaki thereafter attempted to flee on foot but was quickly subdued by police officers who placed him into custody. 

Upon searching the vehicle, police discovered six sacks containing the Narcotics. 

The suspect is scheduled to be arraigned in court on Monday where he will be charged with trafficking narcotics.
