Bruno Fernandes signs new Manchester united contract

Bruno Fernandes has signed his new contract at Manchester United valid until June 2027 plus option until 2028 as Per Italian Journalist Fabrizio Romano. 

The Captain will be among top earners at Man United with official statement about new contract expected to be released. 

Fernandes's current contract with the Premier League outfit is set to expire in 2026.

The 29-year-old has been a crucial figure at the Premier League club since he signed from Sporting CP in 2020 for a €55m fee. 

Since his arrival at Old Trafford, the attacking midfielder has made 234 appearances for the Red Devils, contributing 79 goals and 67 assists. 

The Portuguese midfielder has also won the FA Cup and League Cup with Manchester united. 

Fernandes was part of the Manchester united team that lost the Community Shield to derby rivals Manchester city through Penalty shootouts on Sunday.

Erik Ten Hag has been a busy manager sharpening his squad for the Premier league return, where Manchester United will face Fulham in the first game of the season at Old Trafford on Friday.

United have secured the signs of Joshua Zirkzee, Mazhroui, Mathjias De Light and Leny Yoro.
