Bruno Fernandes strikes late against Fulham to end United's winless woes

Captain Fantastic Bruno Fernandes scored in the 1st minute of stoppage time to secure the reds a narrow 1-0 defeat against Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday afternoon. 

United had traveled to Fulham on ailing form having lost their last two matches at Old Trafford losing 3-0 to Manchester city in the Premier league and 3-0 to Newcastle in the carabao cup with enormous pressure piling on manager Eric Ten Hag. 

The Red devils entered the match without the services of winger Marcus Rashford who was ruled out over failure to meet fitness expectations Ten Hag ruling out that Rashford was rather ruled out for going out to party on his birthday after Derby loss to Manchester city. 

United started as underdogs against an in form Fulham which had just eliminated Ipswich on midweek's carabao cup. 

Scott McTominay would have out the reds ahead with a 8th minute tap in but a lengthy VAR check ruled out the goal for offside. 

Fulham were the better side in of the match launching counter attacks against united who seemed to have limited chances until the death minutes of the game. 

Ten Hag brought in fresh legs Pellistri coming in for Antony with Frenchman Antony Martial taking on Hojjlund's place. 

United finally secured the breakthrough just as the fourth official held up his board to show five minutes of added time after Fulham failed to clear their lines on three occasions.

A brilliant serve from McTominay got onto the right foot of Fernandes and send to the bottom corner via the palm of Leno securing united a sixth slot on the table.
