County internship suitability interviews conclude in Turkana

At least 607 candidates shortlisted for the position of County Interns have successfully completed the suitability test to pave way for appointment of 200 to the six-month programme.
The Internship Programme is a Turkana County-led initiative aimed at integrating youth into the government working system to gain experience useful in the job market.
The successful interns will include those in possession of the degree, diploma and artisanal certificates in areas like Plumbing & piping, electrical.
The exercise is usually conducted twice every financial year.
The Human Resource Manager at the Public Service Board, Joseph Ngatotin said the intake will be based on merit and warned the candidates against lobbying as that would constitute to canvassing leading to automatic disqualification.
The current team is expected to be appointed to Internship Programme in October.
Senior HR Officers including Peter Kebo, Jennifer Ekidor and Reuben Ekuwom took part in the exercise.
