CS Kindiki transfers County Commissioners

Interior Cabinet Secretary (CS) Abraham Kithure Kindiki has transferred over 10 County Commissioners across the country.

The CS in a statement on Thursday said the move is aimed at enhancing efficient service delivery, for the benefit of Kenyans.

Five County Commissioners have been recalled to the Ministry headquaters in Nairobi, while over five Deputy County Commissioners (DCC's) have been promoted to County Commissioners, subject to approval by the Public Service Commission (PSC).

8 Regional and 24 County Commissioners will remain at their respective work stations. The changes take effect on 1st February, 2024.

"To enhance service delivery within National Government Administration cadres, deployment has been re-organised to take effect on February 1, 2024," the CS said.

County Commissioners recalled are: Mohamed Barre was recalled from Nyandarua, Joseph Kanyiri from Laikipia, Isaac Masinde from Narok, Tom Anjere from Kisii and Jude Wesonga from Kajiado County.

Those transferred include: Abdirasack Jaldesa (from Mombasa to Nyandarua), Mohamed Nur (Tana River to Mombasa), Erastus Mbui (Kitui to Laikipia), Joshua Nkanatha (Kiambu to Murang'a) and Jacob Ouma (Turkana to Meru).

Others are: Kipchumba Rono (Busia to Kitui), Henry Wafula (Samburu to Makueni), Onesmus Kyatha (Nyamira to Samburu), Susan Waweru (Nairobi to Siaya) and Patrick Mukiria (Murang'a to Kisii).

Apollo Okello will now serve as Personal Assistant (PA) to thee Regional Commissioner, Rift Valley.

He has been transferred from the role of County Commissioner, West Pokot.

Hiram Kahiro has been plucked from the ministry headquarters, and has landed the position of Kwale County Commissioner.

Among the DCC promoted are: David Koskei (from Masinga to Tana River), Mohamed Ramadhani (from Trans Mara West to Garissa), Khalif Abdullahi (from Nakuru West to West Pokot), Reuben Lotiatia (from Mt Elgon to Narok), James Taari (from Kajiado North to Kajiado) and Mwangi Meru (from Kwale to Kakamega).
