Dates set for FIFA agent exams

By Peter Ochieng

The Federation International Football Association (FIFA) has set the dates for agent exams around the world. The dates are November 2024 and May 21, 2025.

In Kenya, Football Kenya Federation (FKF) will oversee the fourth and fifth FIFA agent exams. Application deadline for the November 20th exam is August 19, to October 4, 2024, while those interested in the May examination have a window of between January 13, to February 28, 2025.

According to FKF, interested individuals must submit an application via the FIFA Agent Platform, after which the applications will be reviewed by Member Associations to determine eligibility.

“Upon a successful application, you will be invited to sit the FIFA Football Agent Exam after which you can freely choose at which member association you want to take the exam,” FKF stated.

The exam lasts 60 minutes and comprises 20 questions designed to test your knowledge of FIFA regulations and the football transfer system, while the pass mark has been set at 75 percent.

“It is conducted strictly online via the FIFA Agents Platform. Following the examination, candidates will have to wait a month to receive their results. Those who pass will be licensed by FIFA, allowing them to conduct football agency services worldwide,” added FKF.

Applicants have nothing to worry as the applicable exam rules and study materials will be published on the FIFA Agent Platform and FIFA website on August 2024 and January 2025 respectively, for each of the next two exam sittings.

In terms of cost, an examination fee of Sh50,000 will be charged on candidates and will exclusively cover the costs of organizing and holding the exam.

Individuals will then need to pay USD 600 for their first licensing period, followed by subsequent annual payments of USD 300.

Only individuals who have been granted a Football Agent licence by FIFA can provide Football Agent Services, as defined in the FIFA Football Agent Regulations (FFAR) and the corresponding national football agent regulations.
