DCI senior Crime scene team equipped with forensic training techniques to advance crime response

A total of 38 senior Crime Scene Investigators from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations have today completed an advanced crime scene processing training that employs modern-day forensic techniques and skills that will improve approach on combating crime.
The 38 officers will also be deployed nationwide to share the knowledge and earned expertise with colleagues as their proceed with their line of duty.
The officers underwent a two - week training sponsored and facilitated by the International Justice Mission which was held at the National Criminal Investigations Academy (NCIA) in Nairobi, a police institution that was recently upgraded and accorded the national status to train both local and international security agencies on crime investigations.
DCI's Head of Investigations Bureau Abdallah Komesha urged the officers to employ their earned tactics in solving criminal cases that continue to escalate in the country.
The officers were handed with graduation certificates to certify their training.
