Speaking during the back to school tournament played at Sikoma primary school where at least eight teams from largely Marachi community took part in the event, he stressed on the need to offer the youth a platform to exploit their potentials in soccer.

“Sports is the leading revenue generator for many countries in Africa. It has employed thousands across the world who are earning handsomely,” noted Ojwang.

The tournament targeted school going players to instill discipline and resilience in their daily endeavor both at school and society.

Neela FC were crowned champions after hammering Simuli FC 2-1 in an entertaining football match that attracted hundreds of sports fans.
