Hopes cut short for Bungoma All Star and Compel FC to play in FKF Division 1

The hope for highflying Bungoma All Star and Compel FC to play in FKF Division 1 next season were cut short, after they suffered a humiliating defeat in their knock-out games played at Otimong Primary School in Busia County.

Compel FC who emerged top of FKF Division 2 Zone A, found themselves 2-0 before GFE 105 from Eldoret, who were runners-up in FKF Division 2 Zone B.

A goal each half from GFE 105 players was enough to affirm their victory, as they match toward FKF Division 1.

Despite GFE 105 playing 10 men for the better part of second half after their defender was shown a straight red-card, they displayed a tactical discipline in their defense to cement their victory.

On the other hand, Bungoma All-Stars suffered a similar defeat by 2-0 after Kiminini Combine from Trans Nzoia County proved their might with 60 percent possession of the entire 90 minutes game.

Today, Kiminini Combine will play GFE 105 in the final, to determine who will qualify to play in the FKF Division 1 Zone B next season.

The game will be played at Otimong Primary School from 10:00 am.
