Jesse Lingard enjoys Diamond's song

Tanzanian music sensation, Naseeb Abdul Juma, known professionally as Diamond Platnumz, was elated after renowned English footballer, Jesse Lingard, expressed admiration by sharing one of his recent songs on Snapchat.

Lingard, who is currently training with his former club, West Ham, based in London, shared a song by Diamond and South African singer Chley 'Shu' on his Snapchat story, accompanied by dance emojis, indicating his love and enjoyment of the song.

The head of WCB, Diamond, also posted a screen record of Lingard's Snapchat story on his Instagram Stories, tagging the English player to show his gratitude.

"@jesselingard????????," Diamond wrote.

'Shu' is the latest song by Tanzanian musician Diamond Platnumz, a collaboration with South African singer Chley Nkosi in the Amapiano genre. The song was released about a month ago and has already garnered over 5.2 million views on YouTube.

A few days ago, French football club PSG uploaded a video showcasing the atmosphere at their stadium, Parc des Princes, and chose to use Diamond and Chley's song 'Shu' as the soundtrack. 

PSG's action sparked a debate among Amapiano music fans across Africa, as the French football giants were accused of sidestepping all Amapiano artists from South Africa - the origin country of Amapiano - and instead selecting Diamond Platnumz from Tanzania.
