Delivery of judgement in the murder case of business woman Monica Kimani has been postponed, again.

Joseph Irungu alias Jowi and his ex-fiance, former Television news anchor Jackie Maribe have been charged with the murder.

The judgement was postponed after Maribe fell ill.

Justice Grace Nzioka said that she will deliver the verdict by March 15, 2023.

Nzioka was initially set to give the judgement on October 06, 2023 before she fell ill.

A new date of December 15, 2023 was set. However, delivery of the verdict was once again put off to January 26, 2024.

Today, Joshua Irungu who is the first accused was in court for delivery of the verdict, but Maribe was no where to be seen.

The court was told that she was on her way to hospital. The judge said the ruling was ready, explaining why the ruling can only be delivered in March.

"I have looked at my diary and the court is not available in the whole month of January and February. Other than this matter I have a few other serious matters that I am dealing with. I will not be available from the 8th of February to 8th of March. My earliest judgement would be 15th of March," she said.

She asked the State to provide medical evidence, partaining the reason for absence of Maribe.

Monica Kimani was murdered in 2018.
