Kabando to Raila: Do not relent
By Peter Ochieng
Azimio La Umoja One Kenya leader, Raila Odinga Odinga has been urged to push on with the demonstrations, until president William Ruto 'conceeds.'
Former Mukurweini Member of Parliament (MP) Kabando wa Kabando says Odinga should not relent in his push for the lowering of the cost of living, adding that majority of Kenyans are behind him.
"Dear Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga: Relent not! A whooping majority of Kenyans are right behind #CostOfLivingCrisis #Maandamano. Barring a miracle, only immediate radical concessions from Ruto can save his erratic & hugely unpopular noxious UDA regime," wrote the former legislature.
Odinga has called for another round of demos on Wednesday this week, on the backdrop of protests held on Friday during Saba Saba commemoration.
And Kabando says he will be right in it in Wednesday. "Wednesday 12/7, here we come!"
In addition, Kabando who unsuccessfully contested for the Nyeri County Senatorial seat during last year's polls, termed Interior Cabinet Secretary (CS) Kithure Kindiki as the only person who bears voice of reason in Ruto's administration. He urged him to resign if the powers that be are not willing to heed to his counsel.
"CS @KindikiKithure, you are a refreshing voice of reason amidst UDA cacophony. More doves will stem the torrents of hawkish sycophancies. Bwana CS, if they can't assimilate your sobriety, resign as Murumbi, Muliro, Kibaki, Matiba, and Jaramogi did to stamp your roll of honor."
Kindiki over the weekend urged police across the country not to confront unarmed protesters during Azimio demos.
