Kajiado teacher denies sodomy charge

A Junior Secondary School teacher has been arraigned at a Kajiado Court for allegedly sodomizing a 16-year-old pupil.

George Sane Lesein, 30, a teacher at Noontoto Primary School in Maili Tisa, was accused of sodomizing the boy who was under his care severally on diverse dates between December 25, 2022 and April 2023 at Cornerstone area in Kajiado town.

Appearing before Principal Magistrate Edgar Kagoni, the accused denied the charges and was released on a bond of Sh. 400,000 with the case being set for hearing on July 6, 2023.

Lesein was previously charged in 2019 for engaging in homo sexuality with two men but was later released after the complainants agreed to settle the case out of court.

At the same court, Mepukori Kapei, was charged with defiling a 15-year-old girl at Il Marba village, Kajiado Central.

The accused however denied the charges and was released on a bond of Sh. 250,000. The case will be mentioned on May 31, 2023.
