The kick-off of the 2024 FKF Women Premier League gave the country two teams that are always to the fore: Kenya Police Bullets FC and Trinity Starlets.

While they have both won two games each in two matches, they share similar points at six apiece and identical goal differences of +5, showing their powerful start into this season.

However, Kenya Police Bullets FC currently top the log due to a better goal tally of six scored and none conceded.

The team has been solid at the back so far, one of the best aspects that have seen them top of the league this early in the campaign.

Attacking-wise, too, the team has been in full force, with their scoring ability proving a handful for teams in the opening two rounds of action.

This combination of solid defense and clinical attack has set them up as a formidable force in the league.

Trinity Starlets are level on points with Kenya Police Bullets but lie second by virtue of a slightly lower goal tally.

The Starlets have also won both of their opening matches convincingly, showing both defensive stability and efficiency in offense.

Having scored four and conceded none, Trinity Starlets are running neck and neck with Kenya Police Bullets, definitely one of the teams to watch this season.

Not far behind in the race is Mombasa Olympic and Vihiga Queens, each with four points.

Having won a game apiece and drawn another, they will be eager to close in at the top as the season wears on.

Mombasa Olympic has managed to grind out points with both solid performances in attack and at the back to keep them in decent position early in the season.

Vihiga Queens is one of those traditional powerhouses in Kenyan women's football that should rise up the ladder once they get their rhythm right.

Sitting in the middle of the table are Zetech Sparks and Kibera Soccer Women, each having won three points in one and lost in one in their first two matches. This narrow win for Zetech Sparks with a goal difference of +1 showcases promise, which Kibera Soccer Women will look to capitalize on in the coming rounds.

At the tail-end of the log, Bungoma Queens, Wadadia, and Bunyore Starlets are yet to register a single point after two matches.

Bunyore Starlets have had a torrid start into the season, with two consecutive losses with a goal difference of -5.

They will be forced to go back to the drawing board if they are not to lag behind in the ongoing season.

As the FKF Women Premier League goes on, all eyes shall be out to see if Kenya Police Bullets and Trinity Starlets can keep on with the early dominance or the chasing pack rises to the occasion for top spots.
