Gor mahia held to a barren draw as inspired Posta retain top spot

Defending champions Gor Mahia were held to a goalless draw by a reselient Bidco United in a FKF Premier league match at Kasarani on Saturday afternoon. 

Coach Jonathan McKinstry's decision to rotate the Kogalo squad for an eye over Shabana's clash costed the team an important two points that forced the Green Army settle for 2nd position in the standings for yet another weekend. 

Kogalo failed to capitalize on their chances to change the scoreboard with an Open chance by Omalla sent wide. 

Kevin Juma's left-footed shot from a set piece attack went off target to put the match under more drought. 

Bidco tried to level their muscles on both halves with a number of their chances failing to count. 

Shariff Musa could have opened the scoresheet for Bidco with a chance two minutes into the second half with an opened chance from Chris Opondo but delayed to make a strike. 

Two substitutions into the second half were not enough to earn Kogalo a goal with Austin Odhiambo coming in for Rogers Ouma and Boniface Omondi for Rodgers Mugisha.

Odhiambo should have scored a goal himself moments after coming on but his left footed attempt sailed wide off target.

In other results, Posta Rangers maintained their position at the top of the table with a 2-0 win over Bandari ,, while struggling Tusker found redemption in a 1-0 away win over Sofapaka. 

Muhoroni Youth held Muranga seal to a barren draw with Police Fc drawing 1-1 with Talanta. 

Posta lead with 19 points followed closely by Kogalo with 16 points Murang'a seal closing in third with 14 points all the three having played 8 games each
