Kenya signs MOU with Huawei to enhance Digital Transformation

Kenya has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with China's tech giant and smart phone manufacturer Huawei technologies to steer Kenya's Journey to Digital Transformation. 

The signing of the MOU was witnessed by President William Ruto in Beijing during his official trip to China. 

According to President Ruto, the partnership will accelerate Kenya's ICT infrastructure and drive digitisation across Key sectors like education,e-Government, transportation and Health. 

President Ruto termed the deal "Vital" for Kenya's Digital "Superhighway" and the component of Kenyan Kwanza's Bottom Up model. 

"Collaboration is essential for the achievement of our digital transformation agenda. Our partnership with leading Chinese technology corporation, Huawei will advance our ICT infrastructure and drive digitisation across key sectors like transportation, e-government, education, and health. "President Ruto said through Facebook.
