Celebrated Kenyan chef Bernice Kariuki's tour of duty at Arsenal Football Club has coke to an end.

Kariuki was appointed the English Premier League side's chef two years ago, after intervention from former captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Aubameyang recommended Kariuki for the job after testing pilau she had prepared.

She confirmed over the weekend that her tour of duty at the Emirates Stadium had come to an end.

"A final day flourish. Finished the season with a bang! Simply the best!!! ARSENAL.. ARSENAL..ARSENAL," she posted on social media on Sunday after the final match of the 2022/2023 season.

She said the season was special.

"The best special season ever. Hang my gloves as a very proud chef. It’s been a honour working for the best Club In the whole World.. I was truly humbled!"

During her time at Arsenal, Bernice prepared meals for first team players.

It is not clear clear where she is headed to.

Arsenal put up a spirited fight to clinch the 2022/2023 EPL title, before collapsing when it mattered the most.

Manchester City retained the title ahead of the Gunners.
