English Premier League (EPL) side Manchester United have received a major boost ahead of the return to Premier League action, after international break.
Defender Luke Shaw is back in training after being out of action since August, 2023.
The England international suffered what was termed as a muscle issue in August.
He had only appeared in the opening two games of the 2023/2024 season, against Wolves and Tottenham Hotspur.
“Our cameras at Carrington have captured images of the left-back working with the main group, in advance of Sunday's game at Everton,” reads a statement on Manchester United’s website.
Fellow left-back Tyrell Malacia has also been out injured, with the Netherlands international missing the summer tour of the United States.
He is yet feature for the Erik ten Hag led side this season. Sergio Reguilon was brought in on loan from Tottenham Hotspur as an extra option in the position, while Sofyan Amrabat, Diogo Dalot and Victor Lindelof have also filled in at left-back this season.
Christian Eriksen and Rasmus Hojlund were added to the list of absentees prior to the international break, and goalkeeper Andre Onana was also injured while with Cameroon.
The Red Revils are 6th on the EPL log with 21 points, after 12 rounds of play this season, 7 points behind leaders and defending champions Manchester City. The Old Trafford side has won 7 and lost 5 matches.
Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham and Aston Villa are all ahead of United, as the race to Premier League title and top four (Champions League slots) heats up.
