Lynn Ngugi crowned best digital content creator at WIFA Awards

Celebrated Kenyan content creator Lynn Ngugi has been voted the best digital content creator at the 2022 women in film awards. Lynn shared the amazing news with her fans through her social media channels, noting that she wouldn’t have made it this far without support from her followers. She dedicated the award to all Kenyans that have shared their stories with her, adding that it is their inspiring, moving and stories that have made her who she is today. “We won this year's Best Digital Content creator- Women in Film Awards. Thank you all for voting for me I want to dedicate this special award to all the people that have shared their stories with me. Thank you for trusting me with your stories,” she said. Other female creatives who won big at the award gala include; Catherine Kamau alias Kate actress who was voted best actress (film), Jackie Matubia who won best actress (drama) and Catherine Wamuyu who won best producer (TV drama). As we celebrate International Women’s Day, I stand here proud and elated that we get to celebrate these women who have done tremendous work in the film industry which has long been known to be a male dominated field,” WIFA awards director Dr. Susan Gitimu was quoted.
