McCreadie Andias

Ousted UDA Secretary General Cleophas Malala now Claims that his son ans 19-year-old brother-in-law were abducted at gunpoint last night.

Malala claims that the two were tortured for more than six hours to disclose his whereabouts or that of his wife.

"My Son & my 19 year old brother in-law were abducted at gunpoint.

Tortured for 6 hours to disclose my whereabouts or that of my wife and to show them the way to my residence." Malala said.

According to Malala, the two were later dumped along Thika road after the abductors failed to find Malala.

" On failing to find us at home they dumped them on Thika road; I have picked them, safe but traumatised."He said.

Malala has however not revealed whether he filed a statement with the police whereas the police have also not confirmed the incident.

Malala has recently spoken out against the rumored Impeachment of Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

Speaking during a church service in Kiambu County on Sunday, Malala alleged that the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party-allied legislators are behind the Impeachment plan categorically pointing out Suba South MP Junet Mohamed and Homa Bay Township MP Peter Kaluma.

Malala warned President William Ruto that Gachagua’s Impeachment will have collateral damage including to his own re-election bid.

"I am not qualified to advise but these people you want to use to oust your deputy who stood with you, you might be thinking that you are impeaching Rigathi Gachagua but you have started the journey of removing yourself," he said.

"The same people who are moving that motion, and I am being told that they have selected Junet Mohamed and Peter Kaluma, will start by removing your deputy but I assure you those same people will remove you as president."

"Please call your house to order, don't punish Rigathi Gachagua. This man was humiliated in front of his children, he was arrested because of you William Ruto. We urge you not to be inhuman," he said.

Malala noted that Gachagua has been loyal to the President since President Uhuru's regime and was targeted a number of times by state agencies due to his allegiance to then DP Ruto.

The politician has been at loggerheads with the ruling party after being unceremoniously ousted from his position and replaced with former Mombasa senator Hassan Omar.
