Mama Ngina Kenyatta's security has been withdrawn by the government ahead of Azimio la Umoja protest.

The withdrawal comes after President William Ruto condemned the former president Uhuru Kenyatta claiming he is the one funding the Azimio protests.

Ngina Kenyatta is the first lady of the first President of the Republic of Kenya, who is also a mother to the former President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The act of withdrawing security from Ngina Kenyatta has evoked mixed reactions from the public and the political analysts condemning the act.

Political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi wrote to President Ruto in a stinging message hours after reports emerged that the protection of the first lady of the nation, Ngina Kenyatta, had been removed.

On Twitter, Ngunyi urged Ruto not to allow politics to go against the demands of the protection of the country's most influential political figures who seem to oppose and criticise his leadership.

Ngunyi said Ruto had removed Ngina's security and that poachers might attack him but also reminded him that there is no difference between him and Uhuru Kenyatta as tomorrow the poachers will go to his mother, Sarah Ruto.

"Dear Ruto: The people are not intelligent. Today they are going to visit my mother in Muthaiga. Tomorrow they will find YOUR mother wherever she is. There is no difference between freedom and freedom. If you start this trend, it will not stop. Fight like MEN and let us leave our MOTHERS. "Please," said Ruto.

Ngunyi insisted on telling Ruto that the enemy is not Mama Ngina but the enemy is people who are driven by hardship and hunger as well, asking him to find Odinga and negotiate with him but to leave the mothers to the leaders away from these political feelings.

"Overall, the enemy is not my mother. The enemy is the people. It's easier to talk to Raila, than to talk to ANGRY people led by people you don't know. Don't think you know. "Dear Ruto, you are focusing on the real problem," Ngunyi said.

The opposition has announced three consecutive days of protests starting Wednesday morning as a way to pressure Ruto and his leadership to step down and listen to the public about the heavy tax burden that has been placed on their shoulders after the 2023 Finance Bill was passed as law a month ago.
