Man stabs woman to death in Kitengela

A 25-year-old man is under police guard as he recieves treatment at the Kitengela Sub-County hospital in Kajiado, after being attacked by members of the public.

He was cornered as he tried to flee after stabbing a 22-year-old woman to death, at restaurant in Kitengela on Friday night.

The lady and the suspect were colleagues at the eatery. They were reportedly in an on and off love relationship.

The man who was on the morning shift returned to work on Friday night, only to stab the lady severally on various parts of the body.

Locals descended on the man, inflicting injuries as he tried to escape after commiting the murder.

Kajiando County Police Commander Muthuri Mwongera confirmed the incident.

He urged young men to accept and move on whenever a lady says no.

"Young men must learn to accept and move on if a woman rejects them. Killing a woman is not a solution but a sign of weakness," said the police boss.

He said the suspect will be arraigned in court on Monday to face murder charges.
