Deputy President (DP) Geoffrey Rigathi Gachagua jetted out of the Country on Saturday morning.
The second in command travelled to Gaborone, Botswana.
He will represent President William Ruto at the second edition of Forbes 30 Under 30 Africa Summit.
"Forbes 30 Under 30 recognises outstanding young innovative entrepreneurs in Tech, the Creatives, Culture, Sports Health and Science, among other fields. At least four very outstanding young Kenyans were awarded in 2022," said the Deputy President in a statement.
"Youth entrepreneurship is central to transformation of Kenya and indeed, Africa. It is key to tackling unemployment in the Continent, which stands at 12.7 per cent. Through the Bottom-up Economic transformation agenda, the Ruto Administration is contributing to the Africa rising trajectory," he added.
The summit, which will be on for five days brings together the world’s most elite young entrepreneurs from over 40 countries, to celebrate and learn from each other.
On the sidelines of the engagement, Gachagua is expected to meet and listen to Kenyans living and working in Botswana.
He is accompanied by among others, his wife Pastor Dorcas Gachagua.
