In a thrilling climax of the 2023-2024 FKF Eastern Region League Zone 'B', Mitunguu United, Awakening Lions, and Al-Azizia FC won promotion into the FKF Division II League.

The just-ended season was marked by unrelenting competition, but at the end these three teams rose to the challenge, managing to cement their positions at the top of the table and make their ways upward.

Mitunguu United topped the table with 55 points after playing 25 games.

An impressive run of 17 wins, 4 draws, and only 4 losses showed the seriousness and determination in their campaign.

Having scored 46 goals and conceded just 18, Mitunguu United dominated in both attack and defense in the journey to the top.

Their fans will now be looking forward to seeing them compete at the next level.

While the second-placed Awakening Lions, finishing with 52 points from 23 games, came in not too far behind.

Below is the Lion's rundown of 16 wins, 4 draws, and 3 losses, while being wild in attack to score 47 goals and concede 25.

This strong finish to the season ensured they would also be promoted to the FKF Division II, joining Mitunguu United in the quest for greater footballing glory.

Al-Azizia FC finished third with 51 points from 24 matches and also earned promotion on account of their great season.

Their powerful attack, spearheaded by the captain Denno Tizoh, was crucial to their success.

And Tizoh was the league's top scorer, finding the back of the net an astonishing 21 times.

His contributions helped propel Al-Azizia FC to a promotion spot, and his leadership on and off the pitch will surely be missed by their Zone 'B' rivals as they take their talents to Division II.

This is the final standing, where Mitunguu United with Awakening Lions and Al-Azizia FC are separated by a difference of only four points.

Other teams in the top five include Blackpanther and Grevys Zebra, who did a great performance but fell short regarding promotions.

There were several abandoned matches, including Simba Bridge vs Awakening Lions and Timberyard vs Grevys Zebra.

These matches were not counted in the final standings, meaning some teams could have been positioned differently.

As these three top teams prepare to enter the next stage in their football careers, they will leave behind a competitive and memorable FKF Eastern Region League season-a season that really highlighted the depth of talent in Zone 'B'.

Their maiden debut in the FKF Division II League, now a waited ticket as they graduate into better success ladders of Kenyan football.
