Morara Kebaso unveils resource mobilisation strategy
By Peter Ochieng
Accountability activist Morara Kebaso has unveiled a resource mobilisation strategy, after seemingly growing weary of seeking financial support from Kenyans.
Kebaso has unveiled ‘The INJECT’ sweatshirts, which are being sold at Sh2,500 per piece.
INJECT stands for Inclusion of National Justice Economic and Civic Transformation, a political movement headed by Kebaso.
“You can pre-order yours by sending the purchase amount to 0708985611. Forward the MPESA message to WhatsApp on the same number. Tell us your size and location for delivery. Wear the shirt with pride,” he notified his online followers.
The sweatshirts, he said, are stitched and branded locally.
“They are Kenyan by all standards. The quality is superb, that is why it costs 2500. Pure cotton. Unisex for both male and female.”
The funds raised from sale, Morara indicated, will be used to fund their civic education campaigns across the country amongst other activities.
“This will be our resource mobilisation strategy for the movement and its activities. All the money will go towards building a stronger movement and funding activities such as public interest court cases, civic education campaigns and medical aid camps,” he stated.
Last month, the Registrar of Political Parties Ann Nderitu, approved the name of the Inclusion of National Justice Economic and Civic Transformation (INJECT) party.
In a letter, lawyer Brian Pareno Solonka, had requested the approval of the party name which had been proposed Kebaso.
Nderitu said, “Your application has been considered by law and the name Inclusion of National Justice Economic and Civic Transformation (INJECT) has been approved.”
She said the approval allows for the reservation of the party name for a maximum of 90 days from the date of the correspondence.
Kebaso, lawyer turned activist has numerously urged Kenyans to register as voters in large numbers when the right time comes, so as to vote out bad leaders in 2027.
