Bahati Member of Parliament (MP) Kimani Ngunjiri has criticized president Uhuru Kenyatta a day after he accused his Deputy William Ruto of absconding duties.
Speaking to media, the irate Ngunjiri who is a close ally to DP Ruto, said that the president rendered his deputy jobless in 2018 and that he (president) has no authority to accuse his deputy of absconding duties.
He accused President Uhuru of taking away all the responsibilities belonging to his deputy and handing them over to Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i.
"You gave all Ruto’s responsibilities to CS Fred Matiang’I leaving him without any mandate. You went to Mombasa and lied to teachers that Ruto absconded his duties, he is like a bird whose tree was cut down and he had to look for a new home, don't blame Ruto or speak ill against him," warned Ngunjiri.
MP Ngunjiri reminded Uhuru when his DP stood with him in 2013 when nobody else was on his side accusing Uhuru of not being ungrateful and that he should stop interfering with DP Ruto's political affairs ahead of the August general election.

"In 2013 you were looking for someone to assist you but there was nobody apart from William Ruto who dumped Raila and come to your rescue, you have repaid him back with attacks. Your 10 years are over, retire peacefully like Kibaki least you risk being remembered for all the bad things that happened in this country" he added
"You have started fighting your deputy with the people who were against your leadership in 2013 when Ruto was fully supporting you,” Ngunjiri said
This comes after Uhuru Kenyatta, accuses Ruto of not providing solutions to the problems facing the state instead he said he criticizes and politicized them during his campaigns.
Uhuru was speaking in Mombasa while addressing the secondary school principals during the official opening of the Kenya Secondary Schools Heads Association (Kessha) conference.
“Why can't you solve the current problems? Why do you want to be a leader? stop crying to voters about the country’s problems yet you have been holding leadership positions while doing nothing in office," stated Uhuru.
