Omalla scores on Stoppage time to secure three points for Gor Mahia against K. Sharks

Reigning Champions Gor Mahia climbed to the top of the Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) after beating Kariobangi Sharks 2-1 at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos on Sunday afternoon.

Alpha Onyango sent a thunderbolt from outside the area to give the hosts the lead at the close of half time. 

After a tight second half , Kariobangi sharks finally found their equalizer through Panchol Ghai header, making it 1-1 with only eight minutes remaining until the end of the match. 

Benson Omala was the man of the moment making it 2-1 for K’Ogalo in the 91st minute of the match although the goal seemed to have been scored by Lawrence Juma. 

The win takes K’Ogalo on the summit of the league with 27 points two up from second placed Posta Rangers who lost to Nairobi City stars on Saturday.

In other matches, Kakamega Homeboyz beat Bidco 1-0 at Bukhungu stadium while Police beat Murang’a seal 2-0.
