One person dies in a road accident

One person lost his life following a tragic road accident at Twin bridge area along Nakuru- Eldoret highway, in Mau Summit Kuresoi North sub-county. 

Confirming the incident, the area Sub-County Police Commander Judah Gathenge said that three other individuals who were severely injured are currently receiving medical attention at the Molo Sub-County hospital.

The Sunday morning accident involved a trailer heading from Eldoret to Nakuru that collided head-on with an Isuzu lorry traveling in the opposite direction. Gathenge stated that investigations were underway to determine the cause of the accident.

He took the opportunity to caution all drivers, emphasizing the critical need to rigorously observe road traffic laws.

His appeal for adherence to safety regulations sought to prevent further tragedies on our roads, ultimately ensuring the safety and well-being of all road users.

As the relevant authorities work diligently to investigate the accident and provide medical care to the injured, Gathenge reminded the local community of the collective responsibility in fostering road safety as it remained a paramount concern for all.

The yet to be identified body of the deceased is lying at the Molo sub-county hospital mortuary.
