Chelsea bounced back to winning ways with a comfortable 2-0 win against relegation threatened Sheffield United in an English Premier league encounter played at Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening.
Mauricio Pochettino's side entered the match off the back of successive away league defeats to Manchester United and Everton in the Premier league campaign.
After a dry first half, Chelsea made a breakthrough in the 54th minute through Palmer, who turned a low cross from Raheem Sterling into the back of the net to spark jubilant scenes inside the stadium.
Chelsea then doubled their advantage in the 61st minute, with Palmer turning provider for Jackson, who managed to slot home at the far post, leaving Sheffield United crawling to a 2-0 loss.
The match saw Christopher Nkunku back on Chelsea's bench after a long term injury although he wasn't brought into action.
The result has moved the Blues into 10th position in the table, while Sheffield United remain rooted to the bottom, with the Blades on just eight points from their 17 league games this term.
Chelsea will welcome Newcastle United to Stamford Bridge in the quarter-finals of the EFL Cup on Tuesday night.
