Parents advised Offer guidance to children

Khwisero Member of Parliament (MP) Christopher Aseka has called on parents to offer guidance and counseling to their children during this festive season.

He emphasized the need for parents to know the whereabouts of the children and those they are planning to visit in the villages.

“We must protect our school-going children and ensure their safety during these festivities while at home,” he emphasized.

He said the move will ensure they report back to school next year and reduce teen pregnancies in the sub-county.

The legislator was speaking during the 60th Jamhuri Day celebrations at Ikomero Primary School, Khwisero West Division.

He further encouraged the parents to pick National Government Constituency Fund (NG-CDF) bursary forms from nearby public primary schools and apply for the funds.

He announced that the public vetting of the Khwisero NG-CDF full scholarship will be done next week on Tuesday in every sub-location to support only deserving cases.

The MP made pledges to construct an administration block at Ebushibungo and Ebulwani primary schools to improve the institutions' infrastructure.

Aseka said he is also committed together with area Governor Fernandes Barasa to fund the construction of Khwisero Mother and Child Hospital.

At the same time, he promised the community efforts to tarmac the Manyulia-Dudi road which is in a pathetic situation.
