Parents assault their son causing his death for stealing fifty shillings

Police in Nyamira have arrested a couple for allegedly physically assaulting their son for stealing Sh50 from his elder brother prompting his death.
Nyamira South Sub County Police Commander, Moses Kirong confirmed the incident to the press saying they have also arrested the elder brother to the deceased whose money was allegedly stolen.
"On 17th of June, it is alleged that the deceased, Bivon Ogamba, 17, stole Sh50 belonging to his elder brother, Kevin Ogamba, an incident which caused a fierce fight between the two siblings.” Revealed the officer.
"When their father, Dickson Ogamba heard of the commotion he inquired to know what was the cause of the fight between the duo. When it was explained to him that Bivon had stolen Sh50 from is elder brother, he joined in 'disciplining' his younger son. Their mother also became part of those disciplining Bivon and the three brutally beat the minor until he was unable to walk.” Kirong’ narrated.
He said the late Bivon was left with serious body injuries and was not able to even move out of his bedroom and worse, his parents never cared to take him for medical treatment after he suffered serious body injuries.
"His health status kept on deteriorating till yesterday when it got worse and his parents decided to rush him to Joyride Hospital but was unfortunately pronounced dead on arrival."said the Police officer.
The officer stated that a team from the police station went straight to the hospital where the body was and physical examination revealed serious body injuries on the knees and waist.
"Parents to the deceased and his brother were immediately arrested and are in police custody waiting to be brought before court today to face murder charges.
The remains of Bivon were taken to Kinara hospital mortuary for autopsy.
