Posta Rangers ended their three-consequtive winless run with a dominant 3-1 win over ailing Shabana at Kenyataa stadium, Machakos on Saturday afternoon.
Prior to their Shabana encounter, Rangers had recorded a three match draw in the hands of Kakamega Homeboyz, KCB and AFC leopards but still managed to retain their top position in the top of the table despite pressure from Gor Mahia and Murang'a seal.
Rangers only needed the first half to break the spell with Felix Oluoch giving Rangers the opening goal in just six minutes of the match.
The lead was however cut short with Eugene Mukangula netting the equalizer for Shabana four minutes later.
Posta Rangers were more furious pushing more aggressively towards their claw less opponents and finally find the second through Brian Otieno in the 18th minute of the game.
Depressed Shabana scored into their own net in the 39th minute giving Rangers the third as Goalkeeper Eric Ongiri fumbled with a pack pass watching helplessly as the ball rolled into his own net.
The Rain soaked Kenyataa stadium calmed down the heat of the match with Rangers coming into the second half more gentle denying Shabana a chance to poke their Defence line.
Rangers held onto the lead bagging all the 3 points which seal their dominance on top of the FKF Kenya Premier league standings with 25 points with 12 games played.
They are up four points from defending champions Gor Mahia who have a game ahead against Muhoroni Youth on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Shabana remain in 14th position with 10 points after 12 matches with interim coach Oscar Kambona, who took over management just before the International break recording his first defeat having won his first match in a 2-1 victory against Nzoia Sugar.
