John Ogallo and Cecilia Mbinya Mutuku, have been nominated as members of the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).
President Uhuru Kenyatta nominated the two on Tuesday, April 05, 2022, to fill positions left vacant by Dabar Abdi Maalim and Rose Mghoi Macharia who quit the anti-graft towards the end of last year.
Their names have been forwarded to the National Assembly for approval.
"Having received the report of the Public Service Commission on the recruitment of persons for appointment as commissioners, His Excellency the President has forwarded the two names to fill the existing vacancies," said Speaker Justin Muturi in a statement.

"The Committee is expected to notify the nominees and the general public of the time and place for holding the approval hearings and thereafter, upon conclusion of the hearings, table its report to enable the House to consider the matter within the statutory timelines," he added.
Dabar Abdi Maalim and Rose Mghoi Macharia, quit the commission last year before the end of their six-year term.
The two left in unclear circumstances, albeit the president having accepted their resignations.
“President Uhuru Kenyatta has today, September 1, received and accepted the resignation of Dr Dabar Abdi Maalim and Mrs Rose Mghoi Macharia as Commissioners of the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC),” read a message from State House Communication team on September 01, 2022.
Ogallo and Mutuku's nomination came a day after President Kenyatta lauded the EACC for stepping up the war against graft, after recovering land worth Sh5 billion acquired through corrupt means across the Country
