Relatives to the late KVDA managing director Silvanos Tubei have called on the government to ensure that the people who murdered him are brought to book even as remains of a body suspected to be his were exhumed on Thursday at his home in Chepkumum Keiyo South sub county.

The remains which were found at his home on December 31 last year were exhumed from a shallow grave next to his house where they have been lying for the last 12 years following an order from the Iten law courts.

Tubei relatives led by his brother Alexander Tubei said they remembered the events at the time saying they converged in the home five days after the deceased was reported missing and launched a search but never found him.

He said three weeks later they learned that the wife to the deceased had invited some unknown people who they believe conspired with her to kill their brother adding that they believed that the recovered remains belonged to their kin saying they were sure that he never left the home.

They called on the government to ensure that the suspects are apprehended even as they await the results of the DNA tests to ascertain that the remains belonged to their brother.

Keiyo South OCPD Abdullahi Dahir called for calm and assured the family that the government will do all within its power to ensure that the culprits are arrested and face the law.

He however said for now there was no proof that the remains belonged to their kin but said they will conduct the necessary investigations and report back to them once the process is finalised.

The OCPD called on the relatives to cooperate and provide all the necessary information to the police which he said will greatly help in the investigations.
