Ruto nominates 11 Cabinet Secretaries

President William Ruto has nominated 11 Cabinet Secretaries (CSs), a week after sending all the ministers home via cabinet dissolution.
"I have started the process of forming a new broad based cabinet," Ruto said while addressing the nation from State House on Friday evening.
Under the new arrangement, Professor Abraham Kithure Kindiki retains his interior and national administration slot, same as Aden Duale for defence.
Roselinder Soipan Tuya retains her position in the ministry of environment, while Alice Wahome takes charge of the public works docket.
She was the CS for lands during the dissolved cabinet.
Davis Chirchir also retains his status in the cabinet.
He has however been transferred from the energy to the roads docket, previously held by Onesmus Kipchumba Murkomen.
Here is the complete list of Ruto's first batch of CSs:
Interior - Kithure Kindiki
Health - Dr Debra Mulongo Barasa
Public Works - Alice Wahome
Education - Julius Ogamba
Defence - Aden Duale
Agriculture - Dr Andrew Karanja Environment - Soipan Tuya
Water - Eric Muriithi
Roads - Davis Chirchir
ICT - Dr Margaret Ndung'u
Attorney General - Rebecca Miano
The president said he will give a breakdown of the work that awaits the new nominees next week.
10 more slots remain before the cabinet is fully constituted.
