Ruto set for Rwanda visit
President William Samoei Ruto is expected to leave the country anytime today (Tuesday 4th April, 2023) for a two day visit to Rwanda.
His visit comes on the backdrop of an invitation by his host, President Paul Kagame.
According to the presidential press service, the two leaders are expected to deliberate on areas of mutual interest and cooperation.
The areas include the Northern Corridor integration projects, food security, innovation and ICT, health and education.
Ruto and Kagame are, additionally expected to re-affirm their commitment to the East Africa Community (EAC) integration, and the Africa Continental Free Trade area (ACFTA) cooperation for trade and economic growth.
The Rwanda visit comes days after the Head of State visited Germany and Belgium last week.
He implored on investors in the two European nations to consider making Kenya their investment destination of choice.
