Residents of South Sakwa Ward in Bondo sub-county have been asked to exercise patience over the pathetic state of some roads in that region.
Chairman of the roads sub-committee in the South Sakwa Ward development committee Mr. Erick Okech says that even though there are some bad roads, the residents must learn to exercise patience because they cannot be repaired when the rains are still on.
Speaking in regard to the recent complaints by some residents who strongly condemned the area leadership for the pathetic state of roads in the Ward, the chairman assured the residents that such roads will all be repaired once the rains have subsided.
Mr Okech told the residents that his office is committed to the enhancement of development across the region, noting that so far, they have commissioned the construction of some five ECDE classrooms.
Meshack Okuku who is a member of the Ward Development Committee added that as a committee they have also initiated feeding programmes in all the 23 ECDE centres in the ward and embarked on extension of clean water across the region hence the need for patience as they work on such projects.
Another member of the committee Mr John Omung’i called on the members of the community to stop the habit of politicising development projects and instead work with their leaders to enhance matters of development.
